Durian at the Parks & Wildlife

Bernie Dizon will give a free lecture and demonstration on the care of such fruit trees as durian, rambutan, longkong, mangosteen, Magallanes pummelo, longan, lychee, Guimaras mango, Millennium mango and others. He will also discuss fertilization, irrigation and drainage, pruning, off-season fruiting and propagation.      He will also demonstrate the production of planting materials with multiple rootstock which are faster-growing and are said to be more resistant to typhoons. They are also observed to be more productive.

    Dizon will make available grafted planting materials of the high-value fruit trees during the open house.

     Dizon will also show to visitors his fruiting durian, rambutan and lanzones at the fruit botanic garden. Some of the rambutan fruits are already ripening.
